So far the skimmer is doing well. Here is what I did...

still on the loud side but I think the benefits will out weigh the negatives.

Well I bit the bullet.... turquoise maxima clam should be here tomorrow as well as the BRS 5 Stage Plus RO/DI unit.

How big is the clam, sounds like a good deal.

It is only 1.5 inches. Small I know but the whole 3in rule for clams have been proven a myth. I will post the informative article from advanced aquarist when I get home.

Kelan, I don't know right off hand, but I am pretty sure if you did a search on feeding young clams, I am sure you could come up with an answer. Sorry, I don't have the info right here.

I have a little 2" maxima in my pico for about a year now. I dont feed it very often. I do weekly water changes. I have 3 other clams in bigger tanks. I feed them all Kent Marine PhytoPlex Phytoplankton.

I still need to ziptie the lines all nice and neat but I am letting it run for the first hour to "break in" the new filters and check for leaks. A huge thanks to Devon for letting me steal his RO for so long!!!!
