That's funny...I'm the one that usually says "that's some damn sps...don't know the name exactly"

This one does have a purple rim on it if that makes a difference. This is one that I woud like to know what the name is though, since it is one of my favorites

Yeah, but it's so much nicer to talk about something you want to keep :lol:
I have decided to pull the rock out long enough to eradicate the weeds, hope I don't lose anything...wish me luck.

Purple tips? My old spongodes had purple tips. I've never known a really great way to specifically differentiate the confusa and spongodes. From my experience, the major difference appears to be taller ridges between the coralites. The undata, on the other hand, appears to have a completely different build... but it DOES have a purple rim. Here's my spongodes:
