Hi all,
I have a nice colony of palys that are exact same shape as PPEs and RPEs, but they are almost lavender in color. They have a bright green slit mouth, just like the above mentioned People Eaters, and are pretty good size (about a half-inch diameter oral disk, maybe a little bigger). They looked pink-ish under a different light, but under this one they look lavender closer to the tentacles (there is some light green around the green mouth slit).
No pictures yet, but I am working on it. Any ideas?

I looked thru zoaid, but found nothing resembling these guys. They are quite beautiful, not super crazy bright but very very attractive. My previous description was a little confusing. They are shaped just like PPEs, the mouth is bright green with green color spreading out, but changing to lavender (a lavender circle) near the tentacles. Maybe they will be the new fad :D

No, I didn't. Do they have something that sounds similar? If so, what do they call it? If I know the name, I can google it and see if it is the same thing I have.

They had some new ones in that sounded a little similar a couple weeks ago.

They sound really interesting. Hope you can get some pictures.

yes picture please

here's my RPE's:

OK, OK. I will take pictures after my Portland trip tomorrow. Then I will ask my hubby to load them on his computer since mine is busted. Until then...

BTW, those are nice reds :)

Well, I found a pic of ones just like mine. Except I think the pic has been slightly photoshopped since the real-life color is more lavender than hot purple. Enjoy! (Until I get a pic of my own) :). This guy called them "jolly green people eaters", claiming they are worth $20 per polyp. Anyone want one? :D

If you are willing to pay $20 per polyp, then that is fine for you. But I wouldn't. Those are very common.(IMO) But they can make nice colonies in a softy tank.

Oh no, I bought a whole colony of these so I did not pay $20 per polyp. They are even prettier than RPEs or PPEs IMO. And PPEs go for $30-$80 per polyp. I understand that they grow slowly and are rare-ish, but why pay that much for them when there are much more attractive zoas available for less? So I got these instead :)
