My friend Brian took this picture of my Lawnmower Blenny the other day. I thought it came out very well so I thought I would share it. He follows you around the tank watching your every move and is quite the camera ham :)

Regards,
Kevin

Great picture! Are these fish safe with clams and sps? i've read differing things on it but I think they are awesome fish and would love to add one to my tank. I'm just afraid it may nip at the mantles on my clams.

It is quite rare that they bother clams and I've never heard of them being a threat to corals. Mine has been with clams 3 years without any problems. Most will not accept prepared foods only algae they find in the tank. Some about 1-2 out of 10 will eat anything that goes in the tank. If you don't have enough algae in your tank I would ask the LFS to feed it and only buy it if it's eating.

Regards,
Kevin

My Blennie is the most shy fish I've met

He's a Lawnmower Blennie and he was shy at the LFS. He was one of my first fish to buy, so next time I'll know not to buy the shy ones. I bought him because he was bigger than the other they had. He just stays in his cave, or in the back behind a rock.

Most fish take a minimum of 10 days to settle in to captive life and their new home. Some just a couple of days and others 6-12 months. I'm pretty sure in a few months yours will become very friendly and spend most of its time keeping an eye on you :)

Regards,
Kevin

Thanks alot guys. It's nice to be here and it's nice to be able to relax a little about my LM Blennie. They are one of the cutest little fish for a tank, I wish mine wouldn't hide so much. I had hopes he would be hopping from rock to rock. My own aquarium dog.

nice photo Kevin. They are a great fish. That and a mandarian will both be on my must have list when my tank can support them!
