Just moved into a new house and I was very excited to set up a 150 gallon reef. The tank is glass and was bought used. Well as I started to fill with water...it has started to leak. I have read a lot about repairing if I can pinpoint the leak. If it is small is it smart to fix it and go about my business or should this be a red flag and maybe I should buy a new one?

My buddy who owns a LFS here has repaired many tanks that sprung leaks...Seems to work like a charm everytime and all he uses is that non-toxic aquarium silicone you can find in a Petsmart or similar place. I hope you get it all sorted out...:)

Hi, the best thing to do is just buy a new tank because if your tank leaked once the chance of a new leak is great!! Make sure that the stand and tank is level.

it is hard to move that sise tank without stressing it. take it all down and make sure the stand is completely level and flat, then add at least 1/2" of foam before resetting the tank. i would recommend removing the entire seam that is leaking and then reseal with silicone after thoroughcleaning and plenty of time to completely dry. do the repair on the flat and level stand and make sure the top center brace is still in place and still secure. allow to cure for at least 24-48 hours before testing with fresh water.
