I know it's the weekend and all, but Wake up Ed!!!!

Good luck getting your computer sorted out Lee :)

Hopefully Lee's computer did not have a virus. Format and reinstall everything..Yuck!!

Well, I'm back. I can't believe the odds. Anyway, the story goes. . .

I have a home computer with a Mirror hard drive. It is two hard drives. As one is written to, it backs itself up to the second one. Apparently the one went down but wouldn't let me boot from the other. Have to have it looked at Monday. I'm assuming (hoping) all the data is intact on at least one of the two drives.

The 'backup' computer is my portable computer. I plugged in the wrong electrical cord/box and it wouldn't start. Tried everything. Just a half hour ago I tried something and it came to life. It seems that it 'reset' itself when I removed the battery then re-installed it.

I missed my fish more than anything! While I'm working with the computer, I look at my fish tanks.

Lee,

What RAID level are you running? RAID 1 or RAID 5??

As long as the master boot record is not corrupt and is intact, you should be able to backup the data.

Thanks Kirk. I am computer challenged. :D

I type 80 wpm, but if it doesn't start when I push the ON button, then I'm pretty much at a loss.

I'm having my main system serviced on Monday by professionals whom I gladly pay. ;)

Well,

The IT industry is my profession. Wish I was closer, I would be more than happy to stop over and help. :D

Kirk

Where do you live?

Thank you Kirk and Carlos. Not to worry. It will get taken care of. I live in Colton (between Riverside and San Bernardino).
