yes stock lens the AOG I posted is about 3 inches from glass

these BRA lunars are about 8 inches from the glass
and the lunars are about 5 inches from the glass

not much over 10 inches with the 18-55 mm lens..
I can't get the shot like the AOG with out it being within 5-6 inches from the glass
but Like I said the BRA lunars are prolly 10 inches from the glass on a rock.
 
I also am croping out like 50-60 % of the picture and resize bofore I post..
This one is not a Zoa but it is about 40% of the original picture and prolly 18 inches from the glass and on this on I only tried ONE pic so I could prolly get it much clearer and less fuzzy but I'll post it for you!

for example these two were taken from the same spot on a tri pod I just hit the shutter button multiple times to try and get a good shot. I haven't croped the second one yet.. It actually lookes to be the clearer one thats more in focus!

Pretty nice picture for being that far from the glass.
But I'm use to dealing with a p and s camera.

I just picked up a nikon d-40, so maybe my pictures will step up a notch :)

I like them I have a few nice SPS and LPS ones too but haven't resized or croped them yet..
 
zoa's seem to be VERY addicting..
So many colors and combo's it's endless.
I may have some to trade with you in the future

:lol::lol: Didn't work for you too? My husband thinks I'm beyond help, yet he still buys me more.
Finally got 3 babies on the palythoa grandis after about 8 months.
