My little lettuce nudi, doing what they do best... Between him and the astrea snails they got that algae cleared up within a week.

I just love all their ruffles...

Those are really pretty. How long does it take them to grow? Mine is really tiny.

No idea really on how quickly they grow. One thing i've noticed though is that if they aren't getting enough food or light, they shrink. They're actually particually photosynetic, they have algae in their tissue like corals do, so if they don't have strong light they don't do as well.

WOW!!! That's beautiful! Does it poison system when it passes?

No. Well, maybe if you have a 2 gallon nano or something, but then anything dieing in a 2 gal nano could mess up the tank. heh. There's talk in various places about how their toxic, but as long as you have a decent amount of water, flow and filtration I highly doubt it'd be a problem.

Are they ok with high flow sps tank? Just curious.

So far mine has been doing good, and I have a crap-ton of flow. Only danger is they aren't smart, and can get sucked up into power heads.

Yeah, I've lost two that way. One in the power head and found two in the filter floss on their way to the skimmer:eek: One of them survived that. They were tiny when I got them. About half an inch long. They were so small they just float right out the slots in the overflow if they got caught in the current. They were a little more grey in color too. I was kinda concerned they were not lettuce nudis when I got them, but oh well. The one is still around. I see it every once in a while.

Thanks. I think I need to pick one of those up now.

*sidenote* You really capture what you shoot in your photos. Do you have a website to other work or a photobucket? (will search here for more too)

Hey Brie, I was looking thru your gallary and OMG Lurch is absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah he is. :) He's a giant too... Biggest horse at the barn. LOL. Well wait i'll take that back, the Clydesdale came back. So second biggest. lol. Hopefully here soon i'll finally get to ride him.. He was put a year back in his training due to surgery on one leg... Had a bone chip/fracture that happened while he was still at the track. Once they got that fixed the poor guy had to be cooped up in his stall for 6 months and drugged so he wouldn't mess around too much and reinjure it. But he's all good now. :)
