So I did a small LFS tour yesterday...to see what stores are in the region (Seattle)

so I am from Bellingham, should i refer to LFS as LDFS in my case??? LOL

anyway saw some amazing live stock and corals....such as I dont recall seeing 8-9 years ago when I flirted in hobby with a 15 G nano.

things must have come along way.
I am beginning my dreaming phase of the big Build I want to do , hopefully in a couple years.

now what store in Seattle area do folks use for equipment? the stores I saw were primarily livestock with minor amounts of equipment ( pumps, lighting, etc...)
I do buy online for much stuff I seek, but those times I want to go get something because I dont have the patience to order and wait for arrival LOL
and on that note best online sites? in peoples opinion?

Well i use a red sea aquarium for most of my stuff. Rob can usually get the stuff you want in a few days to a week max. Online i use marinedepot they usually have great deals on stuff and if you spend 175+ you get shippping free. I always go over that 175 mark .

LOL true, just sometimes I want something in my hand today to work on tomorrow. not wait till order is confirmed...wharehouse sends shipping info...fed Ex recieves shipping info...yadda yadda yadda LOL

Also I like to do scouting missions...I may still intend to buy online or cheaper. but I want to see it touch it get ideas about it before I buy online. see how big it really is etc...you get the idea :)

Good question I wanted to ask that as well, AND does ANYBODY know if US border and customs have restrictions of aquarium live stock????
I would think Vancouver area would have some out standing LFS's??????

one benefit is when I do travel south, I Get opportunity to see other members DT's that like to show off and answer my many questions LOL :)

dont think you can transport livestock across international borders without some kinda permit. check us customs tho they should be able to tell you.

if you were ordering online maine depot and hello lights I am going to order from TB aquatics to help out the sponsors also. But I loved marine depot when I lived in las vegas order before 1 pm and it was at your door next day @ 10 am got to love living closed to cali. but here I would imagine a few days. I try not to order from places on the east cost as it takes too long for the most part I feel you on the impatient part.....

NC2WA I believe that "rule" "impatient bad things happen"
falls to adding live stock not equipment. lol
