Light blue acrilyc sheets (Edited w/Picture)

My tank has an internal overflow box (light blue acrilyc) and I'm looking to buy some acrilyc sheets to use for the background to match the color of the overflow. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's but they don't have it. Any idea where can I find them?

Turquoise acrylic
I would start with whoever built your tank/overflow.

Here' one link to a seller who ships. http://www.delviesplastics.com/ACRYLIC SHEET.htm
TAP plastics have stores in most cities. Check your yellow pages.

Hey thank you so much for that tip. I just called Delvie's Plastics and they are sending me some chips of different acrilyc colored sheets to get the best match possible. They also have great prices and awesome customer service!

I would say just find a matching paint color and paint the back of the aquarium. Otherwise you could find some paper that matches and use that. I really don't think it's worth the cost of acrylic to get that color.

I agree. Considering it will be covered in coralline it is a waste. Worst case paint it.

That should be the 2051 blue. Calsak Plastics is also a very good source of colored material. It used to be some what popular with aquarium builders and the last time I got a sheet to build an overflow for an old tank, I got a good discount from Calsak because it (and several other sheets of the same color), had been sitting in the whare house for quite a while. Sea Clear used to use that color a lot, you might be able to get remnant pieces from them as well.

I received the acrilyc pieces today but none of them matched the color of the overflow so I guess I'm going to be painting the background this weekend. Any suggestion on the type and brand of spray paint I should use?

Since it is a glass aquarium, I would not worry about the paint damaging it chemically... Get a decent quality spray paint (not the $1 per bottle) and go for it!

I painted the back of the tank but I didn't like how it looked so I finally found the acrilyc sheets of the matching color for real cheap. The color was "2648 Blue"

Here's a picture, thanks for your replies!

Looks really nice Carlos! It came out nice and clean:)

Thanks a lot Kris, I'm very happy with how it looks. I'm going to be working on the plumbing this week and installing the lights on the canopy.

I'm getting very excited! hopefully the tank will have water soon, I can't wait!

Actually I put it outside, even though I haven't figure out how to attach it to the tank.

I don't know how mine is going to work out in the long run by putting it on the inside. But when I went to put it on the outside, I was reminded by an old timer, that if you don't want salt creep to get between the blue acrylic and the glass (which you will see), you have to seal it 100%. Plus, if you use silicone between the acrlic and glass, you will be able to see it from the front.
So I decided to put mine inside.:)
