just changed the 250w in my tank from 10k to 20k and now things dont look so great. will the corals recover? or will the shock kill them? didnt realize that it woulld have such a negitive effect I know a few people that run 20k and have very good luck with them. the bulb I used was a coralvue reeflux and was running the hamillton 10k that came with the fixture I am also running 2 96w attinics is this a bad idea or should things get better

I believe reeflux is a bit more compared to Hamilton. May I suggest to raise the lights if you can. If not, then put layers of mosquito screen to dim down the new bulb. then remove it 1 layer per week... so that corals can acclimitate with the new light.

ok I will give that a try.. things dont look as bad as they did at first. I started using it on friday and could not figure out what happened never would have guessed it was the light change but everything else is good ph is a little low but not enough to make anything angry.. btw the hammer I got from you is doing great
