Can't decide if I want to do a 175watt MH setup or a 250 watt MH over a 40 breeder? Any suggestions? Also does any one have a glass drill bit that will work for a 1" bulk head i can borer for a frag or two

go with a 250 lol, it all depends what do you wanna keep and what type of reflector will you be using

It will be for everything and a lumen bright large pendant lol

then go with a 250 I think it will have better coverage and overall better growth and you should only need one if you get the big pendant.

Ok, im just wondering if the 16" depth having a 250 would be over kill lol... But i guess i can always raise it up if it's to much.

Nope just lift it up a bit if you can to get a better spread

If your keeping lots of sps you want that light low as you can but first you need to slowly acclimate the corals with if if your using something less powerful, go very slow, no need to rush acclimation.

It will most likely be about 10 or so inches off the top of the tank.
