It varies...All depends on the wattage you're going to, how vented your canopy is (if using one) and how cool your room is. When I ran the 150w and the 70w mh over my 24gal aquapod, I used one fan to blow across the surface of the water on a timer. It wasn't totally nececssary, but I did need it occasionally. When I had the 250w mh over my 38gal aquapod, I needed a chiller, but it wasn't totally because of the lights. My closed loop pumps heated up the water pretty bad. I guess you'll have to try them out and watch it. You may be fine then again you may need a fan or so :)

so iam going from a 130w pc light, to a 159w mh 2-24w t5 light setup, what do i need to do, as far as getting the tank adjusted to the new light, if anything.....

Hey man...You can probably just put some egg crate over the tank to cut down on the light intensity a bit or maybe raise the lights a bit higher and slowly lower then as the tank adjusted. With me when I added my first set of halides going from pc's I didn't have any corals in there so it wasn't that much of a concern. You have a few so I'd acclimate them a bit :)
