I am about to take a plunge on a litermeter 3 for auto top-off and eventual dosing. I could use a little guidance on equipment assuming expansion needs. What else do I need to set it up?

My set up is 250gal tank with sump below in stand. My RO unit is at other end of house in laundry room. I have run the 'blue' line from the RO unit to the sump but it is still a manual on/off near the RO unit. I am plumbed in to my cold water line (manual shut off). Do I also need the Automatic Liquid Level Controller, LLC-S-115? Or do I need the Remote Pump Module (LM3-RPM) and Top Off Control Module (LM3-TCM)?

Also I prefer not to have a permanent fresh water holding tank... at least for now... rather I would like to be able to draw on depend directly from the RO unit if possible.

I don't think you can draw right from the RO unit with the LMIII. Your best bet is to get a holding tank of sorts for your top off water and draw from there, then fill it again when it is getting low. Having your RO unit kickin on and off all the time isn't good for it.

As far as the other equip., not sure what you would need for your application.

No you dont need the liter meter. You do need a ato controller and solenoid set-up. The rodi will push the water to your sump all by itself. It needs to have some resolution so you dont hammer the rodi membrane but its a simple solution and wont cost you near what a lm will.

"resolution" I think I need some clarification. My line pressure on my RO is 85psi.

If I want to stay with SpectraPure products what then to I specifically need?

You leave the on/off valve by the rodi on all the time. I assume you have a asv on your rodi. Then you need a ato controller with a float switch in the sump. Then you need a valve for the ato controller to turn on and off.
"resolution" is hysteris. Meaning you want the rodi to cycle for a few minutes rather than a few seconds. This is done with either a time based ato or a dual float ato.

The lmIII is a dosing pump that you would pump from a water holding tank.

Make sense

No valve on RO unit... I currently have it plumbed directly to my faucet and control tap water input via the cold water valve on my faucet... am I missing something here? Maybe I need to install valve? Sorry to be a pain...

The controller you posted the link to needs something to control. You also need a solenoid valve (goes under tank by sump). That unit is a 24vac unit so you need a a/c valve. The problem is the metal shading coil.

Water ---> RODI ---> Solenoid ----> Sump The controller controls the solenoid.

Okay... got it. I talked to Scott at SpectraPure and he said I need the LLC Liquid Level controller, the ASO valve, and a check valve and I should be in good shape.
