Little Blenny, Giant Clam

After several days of hiding my pikeblenny ventured out into the open today and I was able to take some pictures with my new Nikon DSLR (using kit lens). He rested on the sand bed next to my smallish Derasa clam:

My clam is not by any means "giant" yet, but next to this slender little fish it seemed huge.

Here he is heading back to his lair:

Now if I can just get a shot of him with his mouth wide open...

I have never seen a pike bleeny before. He looks prehistoric. Awesome!!!! Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing.
