Live food... whats the story with that guys?

i got a bag of live brine today from my lfs for free.... its kindda cool...

since i dont really feed frozen brine anymore, i thought it would be good to give them a little live food... they seem to really like it..

how can i make live brine shrimp?
should i?
i know it wont be the must healthy thing for my fish but will it hurt?

how much is to much?

... how about some DIY brine shrimp reactor's?

how does that work?

i noticed that not only the fish like the live brine... the clean up crew went to town....

Go to BrineShrimpDirect.com and order their premium eggs and hatchery dish. After the shrimp have hatched, you can add some spirulina powder (like from the spirulina capsules) and some garlic. Wait for them to eat a little of it and then dose it. If you feed baby brine shrimp, they still have the egg yolk attached that has high nutritional value as well. The disc is way worth it by the way.

IMO, the easiest way to hatch brine shrimp is to take a 2L bottle, cap it, invert it, and cut the bottom off. Put saltwater, brine eggs, and air line to bubble up like boiling.

Best,
Ilham

i can get bags of live brine on the weekends... and since its not my primary food. i dont need it every weekend.... just a treat.....

They loved it. thats the first time ive fed them live food.... I turned the movement off, let it got still

poured the live brine in the middle.... not all of it at once.

after i ran it by you guys, someone said something about very high protean or something like that... i have some ocean Nut, brand "Very high Pro something" Like these red mushy things... (u cant feed em alone)

anyway... cut off like the quarter of the block and thur it in the floating brine bag in the Qt. It sank to the bottem of the bag... and the next day a lot of the Brine here dark red instead of clear.....
