Just got a new 'brain'
Tried my hand at a close-up. What do you think?

It is going along. I had another algae bloom that I'm working on....it is on the way out, though (and I hope that isn't wishful thinking). I will be posting to my thread soon with an update :) . Thanks for asking!

Awesome picture Tom! Lobophyllia's are probably one of the coolest darn corals around! They almost look like those deep space pictures that nasa takes of solar systems and such, here is a picture I took of one of ours...

Great shot!! Couple of ??
What type of camera are you using, what lights was the shot taken under and if I might ask, where did you get the "Brain" from?
Thanks

Thanks Keith,
The camera is a Kodak 4900 set at macro mode, white balance was set to daylight. Tank was lit by 2X250 XM 20K halides supplemented by 2 96 watt pc's (one 10K and one 03). Tank is a 65gal with a 5" DSB, Mud filter/sump/fuge and 30X water turnover. Brain was bought at my local LFS The Salty Critter (www.saltycritter.com).

Thanks Tom, do you feel the xm 20k bulbs tend to pull more blue color out of the corals you have? I'm running 2x250 xm 10k's SE + VHO 03's and have thought about going to a mix 10k-20k setup and nix the VHO's.AWSSOME color on that coral!!
Thanks again
