Hi Leslie,
This guy was in the rock I got for my pico. I tried snatching him out a couple times but he was too strong and just slipped out of the tweasers.
Anyway, it was completely out of the rock yesterday, in full light and so I snatched it out to get a pic of it. Yes I put it back in the tank. Its been a good worm so far. As long as it doesnt eat my little goby, it will be okay!
Frankie said I should share it with you for the data base.

And just in case your interested in using this one too, here is the peanut worm I found in my 75gal reef tank. Yes I put it back in the tank too.

The bristle worm is not real big. It is about 3.5" long in the pic. It was over 5" streched out when it was searching the rocks. And It is a good 1/4" wide.

Thanks. I am really surprised at some of the pics I get from this little canon power shot! It does great macro shots.

hey IPisces, what is that peanut worm? I have never seen or heard of those until now. Also, what seetings do you use on your Canon? I have a power shot myself and have yet to get a good quality photo.

for closeups/macros I set it to Digital Macro and the custom setting to Flower, push the buttom for evaluate white balance and let it do its thing. I only use it for macros and video.
Otherwise I have a digital SLR.

I had never heard of a peanut worm either untill a few months ago when I found this one.
I was pulling a rock out to frag my toadstool and it was just sitting in the sand. Freaked me out at first.

Its not the best for video, but it does okay. Here is a video that I took of a conch. (click on the image) He just made me crack up laughing. Such a cool critter.

Here is one too of feeding one of the emerald crabs.
