looking for a good self priming pump

Im looking for a good pump that I can put in between my tank and water container to suck at the sludge out of my sump. I just want to be able to run a hose along the bottom and suck up all the gunk.

Hmm, not sure exactly what you want here. If you want to clean the sump of sludge, many of us use a shop vac.

Pretty much the same as a shop vac would do. Wasn't sure how good it would be on the shop vac fully submerging the hose.

What I did is buy a smaller size one and use it specifically for the aquarium/sump. Just wash it down (the hose) before you use it.
