It is time to replace my 175W single end 10,000K bulbs in my tank.
I have a clam, some SPS frags and some softies in there, a couple of LPS also. It is a BB tank with T5 supplemental lighting.

I am ok with the 10,000K hamilton but at times I wonder if I would like the 14,000K more, since I understand they are a little more blue.

from this next link I like the XM picture and I also like the Venture both on the 175W. It is amaizing to see that much variation on color from one manufacturer to another.

So my choices are:

1. staying with the Hamilton 175W 10,000K
2. 175W XM 10,000K which lokes very nice also (brilliant)
3. 175W Venture 10,000K

which one of this bulbs have the best reputation, track record, produce the best coral growth and looks better.
Help me here please.

the venture looks kewl.

i have done 10k ushio (didn't like it at all), 10k hamilton (it was good but since i don't have actinics ...didn't like it :p), 14k hamilton ...i love it, it has the nice blue :).

I'd go with 14K, I've got 10K and their a little too yellow for me, when I change them out I'm bumping up to 14K.
