Yes I am! This is my most used bicycle ever, ~ 13,500 miles on it. I've raced in over 65 triathlons on this bike :D , crashed badly once on it :boom: :

I also have a nice full suspension 29'er MTB and a cyclocross bike. I need a time trial bike (must go faster!).
So, Kim, do you like biking?

Holy crap! I don't know what I'm more amazed at . . . the miles you've put in, the number of triathlons, or the very nice bike!!! Wow! No wonder you're such a skinny guy! Very nice!

Yes, I've always had a mountain bike, just a Giant, nothing special. This year, because of the very bad spring I had, I decided I needed some "recreational therapy" and bought myself a cyclocross bike. It's a Trek CrossRip Elite and I must say, I'm hooked. It's not nearly as nice a bike as you have there, but I am having a blast cycling, and I love riding more of a road bike so much more. It's got disc brakes - very cool. Now, I have to teach myself how to fix a flat. I've biked up to The Loop in Glacier twice, and from Rails to Trails (Meridian Road starting point) to Kila, and Somers and back again so far. I'm planning on another ride of some sort this weekend. I've got a ways to catch up to you! :) Yeah, crashing looks bad, no matter what. That asphalt is hard stuff.

I will post a picture of my bike when I get home. What kind of a time trial bike are you thinking?

I had to look up "full suspension" bike to see what the difference is . . . wow, you are REALLY into biking! Cool!

i thought this was a reef site!!! how's the tank going? it's always a little hard in the summer to spend time on a tank when you'd rather be outside. i am wicked sunburned from the "Lima Gopher fest" yesterday so I'm spending a lot of the day inside today.

beer might help! I'LL HAVE TO TRY THAT ONE :)
my bike is frustrating me right now, flat tire........ maybe my butt is too big :)

Just pump up the tire and get a bigger seat :) Oh, and drink some beer, or pour it on your arms, whatever works.

Sorry, I missed all of this...been gone to Livingston (well Deaconess hospital in Bozeman, technically) for a few days. Our daughter gave birth to our first grandchild on 6.11 at 6:35 AM (we were there and up all night....but not in labor!). His name is Wren Russell Pierce, checked into this world at 7# 7oz, 20.5" and everything works as advertised. Great kid, Jenny is doing well, but is exhausted. I'll get on a different computer for some pics, I'm also gonna get some beer, with all of that talk about beer.

Definitely time for an update on this thread. :) How are things coming a long Kevin? Update pics?

Well Golly.
Been a while since I have posted.
So what happened in the last year? Let's see: we (our daughter Jenny) had a grandson, Wren, who is just 1 month short of 1 year old. Our son, Matthew, married Stephanie, 1 month later. They are going to have grandchild #2 around Christmas time. The veterinary clinic is crazy busy. Debbie and I celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary last September. I turned 59 yesterday. I still ride my bike a lot.

Enough about me! The 270 reef is still functioning, has fish and coral AND has the *THRIVING* bryopsis algae. Today, the weather was sub-optimal for outside stuff, so I am embarking on the algae-kill-it process involving: debulking the algal mass prior to use of Tech-M and Fauna Marin Ultra Algea X algicide. Some of my infested corals are gonna shrink substantially.

Enough about the tank!
So I have a question...? Anybody ever been shocked (as in AC shocked) by equipment, by the sump? I have found a short today that was not there yesterday (to my knowledge). The light fixtures over both the frag tank and display are *HOT* (electrified) to the touch, never done THAT before! Any suggestions on what to do to trace the short down? At first I was baffled, but thinking about it, both of the sets of lights share common power strips and common timers...maybe something gave up after almost 9 years?

Any ideas, totally appreciated!

I think the fish and some of the corals are not reacting well at all... fish are dying). I had to go through a process of elimination with unplugging things to discover one of my 2 heaters as the cause of the electrification; just not soon enough for many maybe all of the fish. Sux.
