what kink of LPS were you thinking of?
some like more light than others.

It sounds like you have enough watts and
p.c. should be fine for most lps at that depth.
do you have rockwork so you can play with different depths?

I use p.c. with lps but my tank is not quite that deep.
I would say buy some med to low light species and try it at mid depth.
see how it goes from there.
you should be fine

if nothing else here is a bump for ya;)

Hammers can be a little sensitive to high nutrient levels. The candy cane is an excellant choice...ditto on the frogspawn. Never kept a bubble before.

I have 8 65 watt pc's over my 100 gallon (60x18x20).

I have several candy cane's and some sps up high, zoas in the middle, and mushrooms down low, all are doing great. I briefly had a hammer coral under the pc's. It was doing good, but I moved it to another tank under 20k halides to make it glow green.

I probably would not buy PC's again. I think you get more bang for your buck with halides. If you already have them, then I would say use them.
