care to take it down a few notches to oh say, genus/species I gatherred it was in that family
Coralites are on the small side, that entire piece is just under 2 1/2" x 1". I've fed heavily every night since I've had it, and I have yet to say any feeder/sweeper tentacles. It swells up with the presences of food, but not tentacles.
But from not being able to see the feeding tentacles, I couldn't say so for sure. Unfortunatly (or not ), there is no exsposed skeleton to view. Those worm castings sure make it hard to ID as well as the travel many of the coralites walls.
I don't know how they would get that Acanthastrea rotundoflora. I see very little resemblance based on images. It would be closer to Acanthastrea subechinata. I might add that many Acanthastrea sp can be miss-ID for Favia sp or vise-versa
