LR load is personal prefrence... I like more than less and some people like less than more. Another one of those tid bits of info in the hobby that varies in answers lol!

Id say at a min... .5#-1# per gal.
Right guys? LOL

@ mike or anyone wanna chime in..... Do I absolutely have to put 32 lbs of rock in my tank. I'm more looking to add different levels in my tank but still have a lot of space. I'm going to hide my equipment with black acrylic. So that would mean my tank won't be exactly 32 gallons. But more 26 to 28 gallons

No, you don't have to put 32lbs of rock in. The 1lb per gal thing is just something to give people a general idea of what they need but it's not set in stone. It all depends on your bioload as well as rock quality (ie how porous it is). 30lbs of one type of rock could provide more biological filtration than 60lbs of another so it all depends. Put what makes you happy. I just wouldn't over stock the tank with fish regardless. I'm very conservative when it cones to fish. I had only 4 fish in my 90 gal at one point which was 2 small clowns, a small yellow tang and a small wrasse. The more bioload you have, the more biological filtration you will need. I never went with the 1-2lbs per gal thing. Just put what I wanted to achieve the look I wanted. You will have to find that happy medium though where your rock is sufficient to support your tanks inhabitants. :)

Just got the 32 gallon, it came with the hood, a filter which looks pretty big but I'm getting rid of it So I can mod the aquaclear. And she gave me 1 lb decorative coral live. But she said I would need to let it cycle and come back cause its been out of the water for about a week or two. Looks nice.

Cool beans! Ever considered a protein skimmer? Never heard you mention one and quite honestly I personally couldn't run a tank without one. I love them!!

Yeah I've been watching youtube on do it yourself protein skimmer. Honestly looking at the air bubble type. I read the thread you started but didn't get far enough to see what You had decided on. I think you guys sounded like you were leaning towards the pin wheel. And no I'm not using the bottle idea they show on the internet. Think I'm going to get acrylic tubing. And fittings. ? Where did you get your black acrylic.

I personally wouldn't get into building a skimmer. Seems like there is a science to it and a formula you have to go by for it to function properly. IMO better to just buy one and call it a day. If you don't plan on adding a sump, then they make skimmers that hang on the tank and done even have a place to run carbon in it. :)

There are many on the market, but IMO Mark (skimmy) would be the best one to ask on it. Maybe start a thread in the skimmer forum under the equipment forum and see what is recommended. I ran an AquaC nano skimmer on my 24 gal aquapod, but since then, many better hang on skimmers came out. :)

Do you like that rock Chichas?? when I was looking for dead rock for mine I looked into it alot. The real reef is like a couple ppm less then concrete with no real porosity at all?? looks great and the shapes are neat for sure.

Hey Mojo, no it's not especially porous stuff. many of the pieces will have nooks and crannies but not as much as regular LR. But it's super easy to drill and build structures with and the color is amazing. No more waiting months/years for all that great coraline growth. You get great color from the start and the coraline eventually adds to it. I have the a mix of regular live and the Reel reef stuff. Probably 50/50 with close 40 lbs total. I bought mine before they came out with the branch stuff....which I'm kinda liking even better than what I have know.
