I created my own hot sauce today, and I really like it. I can drink most hot sauces, but I cant drink this stuff. This means its hotter than most sauces I've found, but still has a pretty nice flavor considdering I just combined ingredients that I thought might be good together.

Ok, here goes.

6 orange habaneros
1/4 cup balsomic
1 cup cheese fantastico itallian salad dressing
8 cloves of garlic
2 tbls Onion salt

De-stem the habaneros, and peel the garlic cloves. Add habaneros, garlic vinigar, and onion salt to a blender and leave on "liquify" long enough to all become a smooth liquid/paste (it will have lots of pepper seed chunks still, but they taste great). Pour this solution into a pan and simmer for 2mins. Add in the cheese fantastico dressing, and wisk the mixture together and bring to a simmer again for a couple more minutes. Let cool, and enjoy!

hey luke, my friend makes the best bbq sauce for chicken i have ever tasted. i will try to bring some when i come over. sorry no recipe.

I am also a hot sauce freek. I make my own hot sauce on the regular basis. I spike my sauces with pure capsicum oleoresin.

Thats the dressing I used. Its really delicious, and tastes even better after its been simmer for a couple minutes.

Ok, I had my girlfriend try a tiny tiny drip of this hot sauce, and she absolutely freaked out and claimed her tounge and lips were melting etc.

Not a hot sauce for the timid, and maybe not for the culinarily rational. I really enjoy the flavor and heat.

Brenden- Where do you get your pure capscium? Are you getting it as police grade pepper spray (which BTW has some decent heat in it)?

I bought 8 Oz on the web about a year ago. I will have to see if I can locate the place. The stuff I have is 8 million SHU. I think most pepper sprays are around 500k to 2 million SHU. I remember that it was not cheap. To test the heat I dipped a toothpick in it about 1/4" and then shook it so it does not have a drop on it. Mix it in 6-8oz of water and is is equal in heat to tabasco sauce. Def do not want to get it on your skin.

One of my Sgts used to put OC in chili for a real "kick"....wow

We can get OC "hotter" than 2 mill SHU (schofield heat units). When I was in the academy we had to get sprayed with OC. There were about 6 of us that volunteered to get a blast of "Fox5" which is 5 mill SHU. That is some real Jackie Chan in a can right there brother.....and that was the single most stupid thing I ever did.
