Mike, thanks for post but like 'teen said. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong gallery? I searched "Algae ID" section.

If you get no answers I'll check when I get home on Sunday in my ID books.

Mike may be thinkin' this one in the ID section, that's not it;

Oppps I thought I had put up a picture of the one I have in my tank, but I guess I didnt. Mine is more purple then yours buts its the same kind. I will search out and see if I can find it. They can be a real nice colony Ted, they grow slow and form a real nice thicket.

Thanks Mike. I'd like to see the picture. Mine is grey. As long as this is slow growing and doesn't suck up too much space it can stay.

Dammed if I can find it the picture Ted. The name of the algae is Amphiroa fragilissima maybe you can find a pic on the net

Mike,

Thanks again. Found it on the net. Description is pink. Looks close. Not sure it's the same.

Ted I agree with what you have found, it may be that but hard to tell from that pic you posted, as there are other sp of Amphiroa also, not to mention another sp group Jania sp
