macro algae

i need thinking caps. i want a algae that is going to grow tall and is seahorse safe. I.E. not poisonous, no stinging, strong (they hold on to it a lot), nothing sharp.

Goggle "Red Algae Plant" I have some of this in my tank. Some of it is 14-18'' tall and does very well. I only prune it 2-3 times a year.
I would offer some up, but the wife likes it and wont let me cut any back at this time. Sorry
It is long strands with little grape like bubbles on it. It would be great for your ponies to wrap their tails around.

Saltwater aquarium refugium , marine plants, algaes, nitrate reduction this site has all kinds of algae including red algae plant aka red grape algae.

I have not put any in with my tangs cause I didn't want them eating it all just in case they would eat it.

what id personally do id research what seahorses naturally hang onto in the wild and find some and buy allot. online or here

More like devoured it. It was like laying candy down in front of a 3yo and yes we have personally witnessed that debacle. No macros in the tank with the tangs at our house.

Well if tangs are eating it, then you know its not poisonous. Your seahorses should do just fine with it.

I've gotten the red grape stuff from reefs2go, just ordered more along with some others and a bunch of pods - I think it might still be on sale.
