mag pumps

i was soaking my mag pump as i have lost one already by not doind so and it locked up on me while soaking. is there anyway to keep these dang pumps working.

what were you soaking it in? and how strong? I have use mag pumps for various thing for a few years now and havent had any problems with them..
When i soak mine i soak them in muratic acid. 1part acid to 4 parts water is the strongest you can use.

i fixed it. i was soaking it in 2 parts vinegar 3 parts water.

heck i soak mine in straight vinegar, works better.

How often, and long do you soak your pumps?

Pumps usually get louder as they collect so I go by ear unless it has been a really long time, I usually soak them a few hours depending on how bad they are, I'll also clean them out as much as I can first.
