Hello all -

Just cruious what the overall experience has been with mail order corals? High mortality?? Anyone better than the rest? Get what you pay for generally?

Also, has anyone bought coral on Ebay? Experiences?

I've only bought red mangrove via Ebay and was very pleasently surprised. Ended up getting a dozen very nice shoots for $20>

Thanks in advance.

Dan

I have ordered from Reefermadness and had a good experience a couple of times. They are a good outfit. Check with some of our other sponsors. also check saltwater city has the same aquacultured stuff you can buy online. it is going fast though. I would buy aqua-cultured over wild though.

Vivid aquariums has a 15 guarantee on all livestock. He also has free shipping on orders over $175, so if you find anyone local to go in on an order with, its a lot easier. (I might go in on a RBTA for $27 if you make an order.)

Generally, if the vendor is a sponsor for this site, people think they are reputable and wont give you crappy livestock.

I order through Dave at www.vividaquariums.com He is super cool and hand picks the stuff he sends. I have ordered alot of stuff from him and had very very low mortality. His stuff is always primo quality and fairly priced. He is a sponsor on here. Give him a shot and I think you will be suprised by the service and quality
Steve Here is a photo two tanks stocked from his store.

I've bought from Dr Mac and also from Clams Direct. Great service from both. Will buy from both again.

I have purchased items from SaltwaterFish.com 3-4 times with great results. Their shipping is free over $79.00, 6 day guarantee.

Watch out for ordering too much at a time. I got one of the big cleaner crews. It took forever to acclimate all those bags

Good luck,

Chris
