Marine Depot, sponsors of many web forums and marine clubs, has a medium to good return policy.

Once the product is opened, it is no longer sold as new. Recently they now offer the returned goods to the walk-in public to buy. All merchandise is "As is." Only dry goods are offered for sale.

Sometimes, equipment is returned because of something stupid, like the purchaser didn't think to plug it in! Others are returned because it was the wrong item. So equipment runs the range from unused/new but out of box, to damaged. All are sold at very low prices from their retail/list price. Some will be below wholesale prices.

The sale is at the Marine Depot (old) outlet in Southern CA on Saturday August 30, 2008 from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. Get there early for the best selection. Some people come from over 150 miles away to take advantage of this sale.

Marine Depot - One Day Only? Will Call Order Pickup?

Hi:

Is this a one day only event? Also, do you know if they offer will call pickup on orders? I usually do busines with web retailer who offer local pickup.

It's a 4 hour event! Note the times given on just that one day. What is left (if anything) will be destroyed, since it will be well picked over at the close of the sale, and MD is moving now into their new location.

MD has will call, or used to before they moved. I believe the will call is for phoned orders (or used to be). Their will call 'window' is now at another site than where this sale will take place. You should contact them directly for current will call information.
