MarvinsReef 110g Tank...

- Background -
Well, here we are... I finally succumb to a much needed tank upgrade... I purchased a system from a local reefer on 06-14-2009... I have been playing around with the tank upgrade for more than a year... I'm glad I finally did... Pls join me on this journey...


- Tank Specs -
** 110g Tank (48" x 24" x 22") with custom made stand and canopy; 34g sump in the stand
** Lighting -- (6) 48" T5 Retros... middle 4 bulbs are overdriven w/ IceCap ballast; 2 outside bulbs are normal output
** Skimmer -- Royal Reef CS 200 cone skimmer
** Controller -- Reef Keeper Elite but haven't installed it yet... almost 6 months now...
** Auto Top Off -- Tunze Osmolator
** Flow -- Vortech MP 40, still deciding if I want another MP 40

Current T5 light combo, from back to front as of 11-08-2009
- ATI Blue + (normal)
- KZ Fiji Purple (overdriven)
- 22k AquaScience (overdriven)
- ATI Actinic 03 (overdriven)
- ATI Blue + (overdriven)
- 22k AquaScience (normal)

11-01-09, just (2) Blue+ are on for the pics... much props to my bro (Mabisyo) for helping out...

Thanks... I'm yet to really get the white balance right on the camera... tank is not as blue as it looks in person...

after i saw your tank on the other forum i tried to do your bulb set up....except i have actinic plus instead of aquascience...t5's are really nice...though i miss the shimmer...

I just got some encrusting montis... I will have the bald rock on the left side covered with montis and a few digitatas and birdsnest...

my tank is going to the LPS dominated route...

dunno if you've used 20k Radium before but they are the best bulbs IMHO... but I do like the 250w SE Vs the 150w DE... I've never seen the 400w SE in person but I've seen some amazing pics of corals under it...
