I have the expencive one:lol:
Open foot allows you to wear it over different type boots depending on conditions. The closed foot fits a bit tighter for faster swimming. Beings you should take up SCUBA soon, I would recommend the Tusa XPert Zoom Split Fin with adjustable strap. They have a really well designed releases and adjustment! As far as defogger, Sea Drops is very popular and works well if allowed to dry after application.

that could be part of the problem..we put it in , rubbed it, and rinsed it out!!

i like the closed foot ones..i didn't even think about wearing booties under them in cold water..that is a good idea!! i will probably get the closed foot ones for now, and then get the others when i start diving in colder water...i was looking at a different brand though..the scuba shop sells the Tusa's, but they have them in a catalog..they stock some other brand, i can't remember the brand..

My little boy has the mask with the shark fin made into it. It came with fins for your hands that squirt water and also fins for you feet. Mack our english bulldog chewed up one on the hand fins so I can make you a deal on it. PM me if you are interested Ron.

the funny thing is that they sell that mask(or did) everywhere in Destin!! i bet you wear it to bed...how does Melissa like it?????? LOL.. do you play"bad shark, good diver"?????

Buy the Tusa XPert Zoom Split Fin the adjustable strap and get some good boots. You will never dive any other way. It will blow your mind how easy diving becomes. The boots make walking on a hot beach, coral, rocks, safe and easy. The quick release makes putting the boots on and off a breeze. This becomes more noticable during getting back in a boat or at the end of a tired day.
I have heard of quality problems with the atomics such as seams splitting.

i will probably get the Tusa's then..i found the full foot ones for $35...the water is really warm most of the time in Florida(Summertime)..i don't have my wetsuits or booties anymore..i gave them to a buddy when i stopped surfing..i probably won't be diving in any cold water...if i do, i will just buy a whole set of eveything for cold water diving(wetsuit, booties, and fins)..i have used the open fins before, i didn't like them that much..i wouldn't want to use them everytime

I bought a new pair of boots for the wife IN Hawaii and a new pair for me before my recent trip to Jamaica. Was glad I had them both times. They are NOT for cold water, they are foot protection.

oohhh....i need to get a pair of gloves...my hands get cut up almost everytime...i don't really have a problem cutting my feet..i am used to the hot sand and shells.

For warm water hand protection, get some of the super thin kevlar garden/work gloves. Home depot or any tool/ garden store. Better than neoprene unless in cold water. Whereas neoprene with a thin but strong sole and a zipper is awesome for the feet.
