May Tank Tour Carpool

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

I have to admit it is coming down to the wire... I guess tomorrow will make or break it given the response. Gosh I've been looking forward to it though.. perhaps another weekend. perhaps this Saturday..

I for one will be somewhat disappointed if it's not this weekend considering the amount of planning/arranging it sometimes takes to free ones weekend day(s) up.

I’m with Dean on this one. I’ve freed up my Saturday for this event. And I know that Todd (DisturbedReefer) and I have already arranged for our carpool from the glorious hovel called Tacoma. Being that I’ve completed EVOC, (Emergency Vehicle Operators Course) I really don’t need an itinerary; just a car to follow. :D

Just so you guys know where my feelings are.

Trevor

The wife and I are really looking forward to this tour! Buckel'n down and heading down the road with Trevor (MarineDreamer) and his wife:D We have been planning on this tour since the day we heard about it.

We will definitely be disappointed if it doesn't take place this weekend...not to mention probably unable to attend:(

I'm certain the tour is still taking place. Paul will get something out today I'm sure..... We need to remember he's still short on officers I believe but he did say he is getting the route in order... hang in there a little bit more.

Erwin I'm not sure if we are going if we have to be at your house at noon... I wanted to see the route to see how it all works out. I dont want to wait until SUnday to get the tank. Will it be ready Friday evening?

The details I know about the stops are one in Kirkland/Juanita, one in Redmond, one in Woodinville, Paul's place and a stop in Bonney Lake. I think are other stops, but I don't know what they are and if the ones I've listed have been confirmed for sure.

If only Paul's and the other officers' bosses would understand the importance of this event and give them an extra week of paid vacation so they could have time to do the planning ...

I just hope that Paul and crew don't get too burned out organizing this (and other events). They do such a good job and we have had a fantastic year! As it is, we have lost a couple of "regulars" this past year due to "PSAS fatigue". This organization has grown a lot, and I am sure that the organizational duties are much greater than linear proportional with membership. Back in the "old days" a tank tour was a bunch of guys driving to each others' houses, and I assume the majority of the planning went into refreshments. Now they are trying to actually make a timed schedule (which I appreciate), but doing so requires a block of uninterrupted time to work on it.

I have no doubt that Paul and crew will put this together in time, and all who are able to participate will have a very good time.

Thanks in advance to our officers for organizing another great tank tour!

Fantastic!

I get back from this porsche tour thing a little before
3:00pm, and as the Old Man lives in Kent, I may be able to join onto the wagon at the end of the ride. Sure hope I can make it and many thanks to all those of you that put your free time into organizing these great events. I in no way meant to sound bitter in my first post. I am just a new member and as the season is coming to an end I was bummed about missing the last group get together. Hopefully I will see some of you at the latter end of the day. I know there is group of us that live in the Seattle/University area (Ilham, Dan, Matt, Paul... heck tons of you around here), so maybe I will run into some of you on the way back north.

Best,

-Erik

Erik,

Not making any promises, but I believe we'll be pressing on into the summer with a raffle and BBQ. We'll see how it all turns out.

If anyone needs a carpool from Bellevue, I am more then happy to help. Just one person though, because I have a truck. Let me know. How many people's tanks are on the tour right now?
