Second the Wow! Very nice work! I like the date posted on there also so people know when they expire. It gives the idea of looking out into the ocean. I like it alot.

I am also working on a t-shirt design. My idea is to ask for pictures of members tanks and then "cut out" the letters of Puget Sound Aquarium Society from those pictures, each letter would be from a different picture. Hopefully this makes sense on what I am trying to achieve here. I am just practicing with the technique now, my son showed me how to do it but he went too fast, so when I was trying last night (and he wasn't around) I wasn't having much luck. Once I am sure I can do this I will ask members for pictures they would be willing to let me use. I think there might be more interest in the shirt if a persons tank was part of the design.


My son has been helping me out a lot with the photoshop stuff. I told him I would try to get a plug for his photography business into our newsletter in return for his help. . .

Are the cards available?

Not yet. I did some searching tonight and found this place http://www.lamcards.com/businesscardsfreesamples.html
and we can get laminated business cards there and the prices don't seem too bad. $80 for 100 $110 for 200. Not sure how many we need. Delivery is 2 weeks or less. I would say get 200 and if we find we need more it would be easy enough to order more.

Anyone? I notice the website says we will have memberships for the new year available in August and if we are going to have these cards by the swap meet we probably should get them ordered.

I do not want to just order them without the BOD agreeing to the quantity and giving me the OK to spend the money.

The design isn't showing up for some reason.
Did you ever get the list of the LFSs that were offering discounts for the back of the card?
Time is running out, so these do need to get ordered ASAP.

The design doesn't show because I pulled it off of my flickr page. It's a public site and I was concerned somebody might find it.

No I never got an update on sponsors. That definitely needs verified before the cards are printed. I think Steven was working on that?

Yes, Steven was working on the sponsors. Regarding card orders, Kris you have my blessings. I think we should get 120-150 cards printed. We can always get them reprinted later.

lamcards is a great place! they are located in lacey/olympia and have always shipped the cards next day mail to us.
