Membership vs. Sponsors

I have a few questions.

1. How many members do we have?
2. Why isn't there an 8 x 10 or 12 x 18 sign near the register in each sponsors store?
3. Other than return service, what benifits has the sponsor received from promoting the club?
4. What kind of promotions has the club attempted in the past five years?
5. Im researching a few chat programs, but i need server information and ideas from all of you.
6. I'm not a programming IT guy , but i am willing to maintain the PSAS site as long as you supply the data and pictures.

I'm really looking forward to working with all of you. As you can tell i don't have a life .......

one..The evite list has quite a few names. I am not sure how many members we have. The goal is to spark more interest, Keep a positive flow where people want to come back.

Two. I think this should have been done a long time ago. The Club in Tri-Cities does this to Promote a conference and their club. It works. You have to convince the LFS that we work together. Any time someone bad mouths a store it effects all of us. We have to work together in harmony.

3. It may be a write off if we are a Non profit status org. It benefits store by getting the word out that they are available. A directory of LFS would be nice. A t shirt with all sponsors names on it would be nice. We need to get PSAS site up with sponsors on it.

4. We have made a effort to promote every store that has sponsored us. If you look on the back of a membership card it gives LFS names that are willing to work with us. 10% or etc is often turned into more new customers for store. Advertising is a write off for Store.
When Sponsors participate in bringing in Guest Speaker, They sometimes request visit from Author educator in store. We all know word of mouth is best seller of product.

5 and 6.
The person that has experience in this is PSA(Paul) and Eric Borner. They previously ran the PSAS site.

1. We have roughly 60-80 members this year, 65 the year before, and under 50 the year before that. there are no records beyond that.

2. because most stores wont put them up, I gave all the stores signs last year and indoor reef I think is the only one that put them up, I didn't do any this year. It wasn't on the top of my priority.
3. Advertising, advertising advertising

4. like ed said, an event like that would be great, but it takes people to plan, somthing we have had little of.
5 and 6 same as ED, I'm willing to give that task to someone new that has some great ideas to take us to the next level....

I assume the membership data is on paper? I will donate a new laptop for the membership. I also will purchase a "CLub Program" that contains all the "Goodies" needed.

Are either of you attending the Shark meeting? I am.
I will talk with all our sponsor about placing a sign in their stores.

before you talk to any sponsors or represent the club in any other way it will be helpfull that you first talk it over with the BOD as a whole. This cuts down confusion and asking the same questions to the sponsors......
