new sump. i had to "mod" the divider in the middle to make sure all of the water can get thru. i have two pumps my return is a iwaki 55rlt (in the back). my etss 800 skimmer by AE tech. my skimmer is being ran by a iwaki 40rxlt. i know people don't think that its enough to truly power it. my drain area has enough back pressure that with my gate fully open i have a water line above the connecter for the skimmer cup. the guy that i got the skimmer from said to keep it at the connection. there was to much water going thru the back that the emergency flow cut out in the drain area was being used. causing bubbles in the system. i got the water line just below the emergency flow thru on the drain area.

just to show the back there is a built in fuge in the back. i am not using. i cant have anything that may block a little of the flow or i will start to use the emergency flow again.

i hope im not confusing anyone. btw please forgive the algae on the acrylic, i let it grow while i had sump trouble to aid filtration.

ya need to get some soda lime in that air scubber. to clense all co2 and stabilizes ph best stuff ever i run on all my tanks

thanks bud. i don't have a gas furnace that i would need to remove the CO2 for. or am i missing something.

co2 is everywher u exhale it a percentage of ambiant air is co2. it helps with the ph swing at night aswell

ok i knew that. i didnt knowif there was more than what we exhale that you were talking of. i didn't see this amount as being "that bad".

It shouldnt be a big concern in the summer when you have fresh air in the house, with windows open. As opposed to the winter when the house is closed up for long periods of time.
Not to say it is not benifical, just not as critical in the summer.

Looks good man! Now you just need to clean the tank's front glass on photo 1 :p

i'm counting on you keeping me focused on where i want to go back to. and BTW i got the filter socks. so count on seening some tank shots soon once the tank settles.

Lol! Same here although I did find out that I'm not as bad of a photographer as I thought I was! Got a Canon Rebel XT a few years ago and never got good pics no matter what I tried. Had 2 friends down from the US that are both photographers that played with the camera and said I got a lemon

Tank looks good! Why is one side brighter than the other though? :)
