.5 per pound looks how dense the rock, so it must be heavy and thus the price for one piece of rock is actually more expensive than real live rock.
 
wouild even use it for that! know what I would use for africans?????? the same stuff we use in our reefs!


I didn't know that.
But as I was looking for some carbsea aragonite I noticed in ads they say it's also good for african cichlids.
 
African cichlids ph range from 8.2 to even 9.4 depending on which area of which lake they came from, malawi,victoria, or tanganyika, and a GH of 8-20dkh also. so yeah, would be nothing better than dead coral reef rock to help maintain that chemistry. I used limestone ( texas holy rock) but if was going to do africans again I would go with dry live rock!
