Yea this whole thing seems kind of silly. I got a small burn on two fingers and their making me spend the night?? Lol if i was back in Canada they wouldnt have let me in the place lol. Ah well.

Oh and for the record i didnt even get to do the wiring?? Damm thing arched on me when i was taking off the the fricken cover door??? Must have been the man up stairs saying "Oh no you dont" .

Anyway thanks all but its nothing really..

Had more than my share of minor shocks. Glad yours was just a learning experience. Did the door bump the panel or was there a loose wire inside? Guess the message is dont touch a screw until powering off the panel. . .

Ah come on now, Mike will be just fine... only a 110v to a smoker... not much more of a kick than nicotene. I've been knocked unconcious and on my backside twice with 240v and zapped to many times to remember hmmm with 110v and I'm basically still normal..... right ??? ... anyone ???

Not trying to take away from mikes "15 minutes of fame", but for everybody as a reminder to be careful when playing with electricity. Especially with the 110v. Its real close to the voltage of your heart and if i had to guess, thats why theyre keeping him. Remember, electricity can starf your heart, it sure as hell can stop it. Even a time after your initial shock "zap", you can still have issues. Just wanted to say be SAFE! Glad your good. Pics or it didnt happen. That is still the sayn here aint it?

don't know where you heard that your heart runs on 110v but I'm pretty sure its in the millivoltage range. your brain uses the most energy and hence more voltage and thats why they held him lol. seriously though, yes getting zapped can put your heart into a dysrythmia just as easliy as it will correct one. also could cause damage to the hearts electical conductive system and impeed the flow of electicty though the heart that keeps it in rythm. your heart beat originates electricaly in the AV node ( top of heart, atrium) travels through the bundle of his ( center of heart) to the SA node( bottom heart, ventricles)
