i am looking for new monitor to replace my 7 years old hp,,any suggest price the best bang for the the buck,,i am running CS5 and LR3,,old hp monitor wont do and produce the color ,,any advise and suggestion,,thanks in advance

If you want some serious color and contrast then get a Panasonic plasma G25 or better. That is if you have the room. That would be the best monitor you could every have IMO. And there good for up to 100,000 hours to its half life. You will replace your computer a few times before you ware that thing out. So you could justify the cost by saying it will last as long as three computer monitors.

I'm using a 32" sharp 1080p monitor. Tons of inputs to do anything I can imagine (HDMI, DVI, component, composite, etc.)

I also flip back and forth between cable, computer, xbox, etc.

I wanted a nice monitor that would do everything and not need replacing anytime soon.

Costco has killer deals on large LCD monitors and guarantees satisfaction.
I'm on the computor all day with trifocals, so bought a large Samsung and totally love it.

Dang, if you're main priority, for this monitor, will be photography related, I'd highly suggest you do some reading, in a few photography forums. Flat Panel monitors have some sever drawbacks, for photography use.

LCDs are usually designed to look more "vivid," than "accurate." However, once calibrated, they stay calibrated.

CRTs typically can be calibrated to show more accuracy of color. However, they need to be re calibrated, often.

This might be a good place to start.

While upgrading the monitor will obviously help. You will need to calibrate that monitor to replicate the true colors you are looking for, for photography.

i use a Samsung 46" LCD Series 6 to photo edit and to view pictures. might be a bit over kill on size. I agree with the opinon said up there aways the panasonic Plasma is a killer screen and cheaper than comparable samsung LCD

Your pictures and Brie's pictures are amazing to view on this screen. Leaps and bounds better than the Girldfriends HP laptop.
