I have to shut down my system due to time etc. but I was wondering what the most basic set up could be to say keep a hermit crab or 2. I was told that you can sucessfully keep them in a glass bowl with just sunlight ( do they need a bubble maker?) just wondering.

Also I'm having problems giving away my sea urchin ( long spined, rock burrowing) I was wondering what the most basic setup could be for him so that I can keep him until someone offers to give him a permenent home.

Thanks

Hey the urchin was my first fishy pet, so he's got to stay off the plate!

okay i want to do mininal, very minimal

would this work:

3-4g container
Few pounds or rock and sand
Lighting - would be the sun and a moon light since i can't sell it
Flow - Rio - weak can't remember the rating with a hydor since i have the attachment and it's not worth much
Mangrove tree
no heater
that's it

Could I use just tap water, really don't want to deal with trucking around water, can I use tap, I don't believe mine is that bad.
Would the hermit and the urchin be able to live in there?
Would I have to do water changes, how frequesntly do you think?

I have to plan this quick as I have someone coming to pick up all my rock by the end of the weekend.

thanks Jim

very cute little tank

I was just reading on a nano site about someone doing a similar style of tank, I think i'll give it a go, but I will use my AC50 instead, I want most of the tank covered so I don't have as much evap. so i'm not sure if the AC would creat to much salt creep.
