using sand? how long has the sand been in the tank? if it's been there a while, you might want to consider replacing it. When I moved my 40, the sand was maybe a couple years old and stirring it up caused some issues.
Oh, and make at least 2X-3X the water you think you will need for any emergency large water changes.

I agree that replacing the sand may be beneficial, lots of crap in there to be released with the move.

I moved a 68 gal. No loss. I have trash cans and buckets and can use a box truck for free. Pm me I will help you. I moved it from Webster to Katy. No problems. Did not disturb sand bed either.

Actually haven't moved yet. Doing it this weekend for sure. Have most of the stuff out except the big stuff and the tank.
The wife and I and the baby have had a serious cold this week.
Finally got enough drugs in me to move everything.

Wish me luck. I already borrowed buckets and stuff so it's all in the process.
