Moving from a 75 to a 180

Hi all,

I have a 75 gal tank with a 50 gal sump and a 33 gal frag tank all in the same system. I am finishing out my basement and will be replacing the 75 with a 180. I had planned of using my 4ft retro 2x250MH/ 2x54 T5 fixture and just adding a single 250 MH retro on the end.

Do you think this would be ok or should I just look into a 72" fixture? The thing that makes me leary of this is the $1000 price I see on most of these.

Other adding a bit of sand and lights, every thing else should be easy.

i would use 3- 2' fixtures or 2-3' fixtures if i was going to buy something. i think adding a single fixture at the end will work fine until you decide what you really want. separate fixtures gives you more flexibility about placement and also some backup if something fails.

Thanks. I just know that I need supplement light too though. I have to keep my dusk/dawn effect. Would a 2x96 CF setup be sufficient or would I need to go 4x96?
