I am buying a house and moving next Friday. So tommorrow I need to bust the tank down and move it to a friend's house. Then next Saturday I need to bust it down again and move it to my new house. This is going to suck. Just wanted to vent. Thank you.

ohh dood that totally sucks ... i hate moving tanks :p ... my husband hates it the most :D.
why don't you just move it to your home instead of having it visiting? :p.

Well moving the tank is pretty much an all day project about 8-10 hours. I need to have that out of the way so that I can move everything else on Friday. I don't want the livestock sitting in the truck all day while we are at closing. I suppose I could do it that way, but I think I would be putting the livestock at risk.

Fun, fun. If it makes you feel any better I just torn down a 525 gall last weekend by myself. 16 hrs worth:shock:

Yeah I'll be sweet once I get moved. I'll even have room for more tanks. Yeah!! It funny how if it was freshwater it would be like a 2 hour move. But because it is a reef it will take hours. I am not going to aqua scape for that one week though so that will save time. Just going to throw in the base rock and pile the coral up on top, LOL.

I would prob go ahead and aquascape while you have everything out. Will take a lot less time in the long run.
