My mushrooms are separating from the piece of live rock that they came on. The are still alive but now on the substrate between two rocks. My question is should I leave them alone or reattach them and if so how do I go about doing that and with what do I use for adhesive.

If the mushrooms are attached to some of the sand, you can use superglue gel to glue them down anywere you want them. Otherwise they are hard to glue down. You can also set them in a low flow area until they attach themselves. They might be moving because there is too much flow for them where they were. I hate when they do that.

Hello,
You can also put some small pieces of reef rubble on top or touching them. They usually attach to the rubble in a few days or weeks. They then can be glued to a location of your preference.
I collect loose mushrooms and place them in the bottom of a small plastic container then place reef rubble on top of them. As they climb up to get light they naturally attach to the rubble. The container prevents them from being blown around and keeps the rubble from spreading out. The rubble I use is about the size of a grape. They tend to attach more quickly using this method.

Cheers,
Kevin
