Welcome to Reef Frontiers!!!

Very nice!!! Can you list your equipment, tank size, and livestock?

Tank is 212 gallon + two 47 gallon sumps

The equipment is pretty basic European stuff:
Tunze Streams + powerheads (flow about 8500 gal/h)
Lighting is 2 x 250W DE HQI
Grotech HEA 200 skimmer
Korallin C3001 CaCO3 reactor
I use GAC 24/7

Livestock is currently mainly SPS corals + a few soft corals (including Gorgonians). I also have sponges, tubeworms, snails, a sea cucumber, Mespilia sea urchin etc. etc.

I only have a couple of fishes, a Acanthurus leucosternon, Pseudochromis paccagnellae and a couple of Gobiodon rivulatus

cheeks69,

I have never had many fishes, it just "feels" wrong to me. Actually, I think the Powder Blue is a bit too big fish for a 212 gallon tank but it is very difficult to find a small but good algae eater.

The reason why I have even less fish than usual is that I had a major catastrophe just few weeks ago that was caused by a rather large sea cucumber climbing too close to a Tunze Stream...

I had a major catastrophe

I'm sorry to hear that :(

Oh the stocking list I would have if 212gal was sitting in my home...LOL J/K
I know what you mean Tatu, I have learned to control the urge to stuff as many fish as you can fit in the tank although it was not easy

Ouch! Sorry to hear that.

Your Powder Blue looks great. How old is the set-up?

NaH2O,

This tank is only about three years old. I've kept reef aquariums about 15 years though...

cheeks69,
I'm going to get a few fishes more, I currently have on order a pair of Macropharyngodon bipartitus and one Cryptocentrus cinctus. After that I think the tank is pretty much full... I do agree you could keep more fishes in a 212 gallon tank, I just choose not to ;)

Tatu Welcome to Reef Frontiers!! tank looks just great, its showing good growth and health. Tough luck on the cuke, they can be a pain when they go wondering.

I am quite amazed at the growth in your tank with only 2 x 250W DE HQI and with a tank 28" tall excellent job
