My 65 Gal Setup

Hi all!

It about time I posted my 65 gallon setup for anyone who is interested in giving critiques or just looking at some pretty pics.

It's a pretty standard sized 65 acrylic tank with an overflow drilled into the back corner, which goes down into a 30 gal glass sump with refugium, ASM skimmer, and back to the main tank. In addition to the return pump, I have a koralia 1 and an off-brand 1300gph pump on either side.

The lighting is currently two actinic t5s on from 8:15am - 9pm, two 10k t5s on from 11am-6pm, and a 10k 125w metal halide over the right side of the tank on from 12pm - 6pm.

The Ammonia and Nitrites are 0, with the Nitrates around 5-10ppm. Calcium is around 360, Alk is 9dkh, and I'm still working with the magnesium test kit to get a proper reading (the last one I did read 2000!).

The mobile inhabitants include a green chromis, coral banded shrimp, two peppermint shrimp, a green emerald crab, and another smaller crab which I found last night!

The sessile invertebrate inhabitants include some birdsnests, mushrooms, rbta, green pocilliporas, acroporas, frogspawn, hammer, trumpet, stylophora, and many more which I can't identify, to be quite honest.

So I'll just lay some pics out there and see what you guys think of it.

This thread is now 9 months old and Jhustin is no longer a Noob in any sense of the word. Try to really make posts that have some inteligent content or serious questions to them. For example Eric (eww) or Dave (extremedave) who are new to reefkeeping have lots of posts (honorable ones) and now have the respect of most members here and are treated accordingly when on the For Sale threads.

Oh TJL, who cares. It brought new life to an otherwise old thread and now i noticed his tank setup. Its not like the guy just spammed a bunch of threads. Go look at his more posts by user, this is the only welcome one i saw.

pewpew, so sorry... I'm a little touchy on this subject as it seems such that just a few people can taint a otherwise incredibly informative/helpful sight and in so doing bring on more and more rules & regulations the administrators have to govern. I would not have bothered to respond at all if the original thread wasn't nearly a year old (spamming MO).
Any way Jhustin does have a nice set up and Loke could have very easily made a legit comment then asked for a update of the system.

Hey Loke, No worries. I did read through some of your earlier posts and found most did have valid content. So all I really am saying to those new to the hobby or RF is to take advantage of all the experience the members have to offer here and you'll probably in the long run find this more valuable then the Great Deals on the For Sale forums.
