So I finally got my camera set up...and kind of figured out how to use it, and was way to excited to post some pics until I saw some of the other tanks... mines not quite there yet but it's a work in progress...
Start up was October 2006

Equipment

(minimal at the moment, just finished siliconing a sump, setting it up soon)

MH Corallife 20k
HOB Fuge (AC 110)and HOB filter AC 20( carbon only, and flow)
2xMaxi-Jet 400
that's all my equipment

When I set up the sump will be adding a seio pump and a remora skimmer..really excited about it

so here are some pics ( don't know how to load them other then through an attachment, if anyone can computerliterasize me that would be super great!)

alright so i can't even load attachements since my file are to large, and I don't have any software to convert them.... help me someone please!?

did that work?

alright so here's some more, please keep in mind that everything is going to be changed around again once the sump is setup, ( don't really like the stright wall look, going to add "steps"

Side view( sideways...as I don't know how to rotate it...I'm such a noob)

Other side ( not so intersting)

My little baby fraggolas, most of them were tiny tiny, alot were given to me to "see if I don't kill them" but not Maurice and Raule the feather dusters
img0049sp3.jpg

Punky and Brewster the clowns hanging out with there home, Mr MagFloat thingy

Zoo's ( haven't got any funky coloured ones yet...still trying to find them)that were horribly unwell and my attempt to make them live worked some are "cleaning" themselves, originally only a few were open and they were covered in brown crusties and white spots and swollen, hopefully they'll stay healthy for a bit
<img src="http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/467/img0063fr9.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

This will eventually become a zoo bridge..once I get some more zoo's

Attempt at a macro shot...the not so macro macro

okay so two of the pics are WAY to big...going to work on that...

thanks guys, not very colourful yet though :(
work in progress still.

treated for flatworms, again, this time used 1.5 times the dose and then another few drops after...my snails look mad at me, hopefully ALL the flatworms were squishied this time.

thanks brady816, that site was nice and easy!

Good looking tank, ilek!
Looks like everything is doing nicely in there. Now let’s see some pictures of your sump/fuge project in your other thread. :D

okay so I attached my fuge and rescaped my tank.

Note to self, when attaching fuge, do NOT use unrinsed live sand! So the pics are a little cloudy ( from the fuge) and the corals are non to happy (although there getting better).

fuge

And "tank" the pistol shrimp

A pic of "tanks" new friends ( who he hasn't let into the burrow yet), everyone's greeting the new comer

and a close up

Well since the sump addition I managed to kill half my corals, so I'm more or less going to have to start again. I'm just concerned that I might kill more stuff if I add anything else. I've also finally have my cal/alk almost at the right level. I added some new powerheads A seio M620, and the return from the sump is a mag 3 (@300gph) So I have some crazy flow going on, was worried at first that the little gobies would't be able to swim with there little fins. But their trucking...

Thought I would post some new pics since I'm being forced into watching the superbowl...not really enjoying the halftime show.

So here's Limone the Hector's Goby ( my first impusle buy...still trying to get him to eat his vegitables but he's very resistant)

I just looked at the old pics of the tank and I miss my corals :(

The only other pic I have at the moment, the crew chatting after dinner

that's all for now

I was going to ask, how long do zoa's normally take to clean themselves? a few of my colonies are now closed and have a brownish skin on them, once this falls off they will open...or I'm hoping they will....will they or is there something wrong with them now? I also think my bulb is nearing the end of it's life, the rocks are looking a tad greeny.

some new pics
I put in a pheonix 14k and the difference is amazing. It seemed really blue at first but I've gotten use to it and really like it, the blue is useful for me since I don't run actinics. My previous bulb was more burnt out then I thought, super yellow. Hopefully the corals will like it ( changed the bulb 4 days ago).
And the fuge is having some amazing pod growth!!( and some weird white sponge that looks like a pineapple)

So here are some new pics still trying to figure out how to use my camera, so far I'm lacking skills.

Rarely ever get to see the shrimp so when I do and the camera is near...click click click.

My new blasto, the rim was more purplish at the store

Another blasto under the old light ( i'll get a pic of it under the new light for comparison, the colours pop out alot more now)

My favourite zoa's they've coloured up amazingly ( and sprouting new ones) since the new bulb.

My clam ( bad pic, sorry, can't figure out how to take top down shots)

Candycane 2 ( the first one was wiped out when the fuge was added) hopefully he'll fill out.

My first monti cap, if this one thrives I'm planning on getting a few different monti's for the top of the tank( high flow and light up there)

Poor guy fell over when I was adjusting the flow so he isn't fully open at the moment, love this guy. (Briareum)

The picture doesn't do the yellow ric any justice, it really have more colour then the pic shows.

Goni

And lastly my ever growing plate type coral, this thing is growing like crazy, it's going to out grow my tank soon!

So I'm using a canon Powershot A710, I still need to read the manual....can't get the pictures to look good. going to have to take more...

Yay a new bulb! :D
Now maybe your corals won’t be mad at you no more. j/k...
4 day’s eh... Well they don’t seem to be showing any signs of shock from acclimating to a newer bulb. I think your pictures look fine so far!

THEY LOVE ME AGAIN...

or atleast they have for the last 4 days :eek2:

The clam is the only one that's still adjusting ( mantle is not extended all the way) but I notices alot of new growth on his shell, very exciting.

These are the pictures that made it, I deleted about 30 other ones just to get these...I really have no camera mastery!

what kind of camera do you use? Cause I bought a new digi camera with 4.2 mega pixels and I cant seem to get any clean close up shots of anything. Everytime I try Its blurry as all hell

I have a Canon Powershot A710, So far what I've leared is to stay far back and zoom in, Auto, no flash.

but sit as far back from the tank as you can and zoom in otherwise the camera focuses on the glass and not the object your trying to get ( atleast that's my theory)
