Well, my back to back system has been taken down and after selling 95% of my livestock. Because I just can't live without a reef tank I setup a very simple 20g tall to house the remainder of my corals(and a few from Tracy;):D). The system has a large HOB CPR fuge with live sand taken from my last system along with a few piece of LR rubble, I do not plan on running a skimmer on this tank. Lighting is provided by a 250w XM 20k housed in a spider reflector pendant running off a Sunlight Supply magnetic ballast. Current is provided by 2 MJ 900's running on a Wavmaster Pro. Because of the lack of skimmer and water volume I plan on only keeping pretty hardy corals and only two small fish (green clown goby and yellow tail blue damsel) After only running for a few days now I am actually quite happy with the health of the corals:D

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure:)

Well, I finally got some chaeto in my fuge and got some light over it yesterday. I love how a newly setup refugium looks so clean, I can't wait for it to be crawling with little critters. I am trying out a couple of 5K spiral compact flourecsent bulbs in small shop pendants. It definately seems like enough light, but we'll see when that cheato starts growing:)

I also found this laying around and thought the system could use some carbon and mechanical filtration, I plan on changing the filter once a week. The corals have already shown improvement just after 2 days:)

I am pretty bummed about have such a small tank right now but the ease of care and maintinence on this system is nothing to be bummed about(except for when I go to Tracy or Mike's house:p) Here are a couple of new shots of the tank with some new corals:D

Chris, my fuge mass is SOLID brittle stars, astarina stars, little snails, sponges, and about five different type pods. You are welcome to a good quantity to kick start yours. Cost is one bottle of that Montana english style ale.

Thanks for the offer Mike, I'll have to come up your way again real soon. Maybe this weekend? BBQ? Good beer? :D I need to pay you for that impeller anyway. ;)
