My new tank

Hey Don, with this little tank being plumbed into your big tank (if I read that correctly), I doubt the thing really needs to cycle. With that little bit of live rock you have in there, if it produces any sort of ammonia, nitrite or nitrate, I would think your mature 110 gal tank would make quick work of it. Just a thought...:)

Thats kind of what I was wondering. Its all dead rock I tossed it outside a year or two ago and boilded it before I put it in the tank. Not sure if the sand needs anything special. I'm going to take the zoas and digitata scraps out of my main tank tonight, so we'll see what happens. I threw in a bunch of those tiny stars from my main tank and they were alive this morning, so I guess its working.

Bummer, even with what is now 4 100% water changes per day the little thing started to cycle. Must have been some nasty rock or something with the sand. I may have to get some different sand so I can add some more flow, this stuff is just to fine. Any suggestions for petco or other local type sand?

Starboard:D I don't know Don. The heaviest stuff will probably be crushed corals, but you know the issues people have with them...:)

I wonder if my wife would notice the cutting board missing? Maybe sand box sand, there is only like 3 or 4 cups?

Its starting to look a little better. I added some digitata and zoa's. My wife decided this would be a good pixie tank so I'm going to add lots of Digitata frags for hitching post. Once they encrrust a little I'll order up 6 or 8 pixie's.
