What a mess I Made !
First and foremost I would like to say sorry to Dang.
Second, I would like to say sorry to all the RF staff.
Third, I would like to say sorry to all the fellow reefers for the mess that got out way out of control.
I do have a conscience and feel really, really bad about what has happen. This has opened my EYES about what you say and should say whether its right or wrong. Words get twisted and what one person is trying to say, is not always how another is going to read it.
I too am guilty of popping off at the mouth and not knowing all the facts. I'm not going to get into the point that I was trying to make on REDBUG. Its over and done with. I will take care of it on my end.
There are two people that I must make an APOLOGY to, DANG and CORALSEAS. Sorry guys.
I feel I really let alot of you reefers down. The Points I try to make, the things I say and the stuff I do. I now realize I do the opposite of this.
All I can do at this point is hope it all will blow over .
Just wanted to say sorry to all.
I will try and get ahold of Dang and fix my end of this mess.

I don't know the full story. I don't care.

However, that is how one should apologize. You took full responsibility for what you did wrong. It takes guts to do this publicly.

Well it is good to see someone step apologize but there are more IMO that should, (you shouldn't take all of the blame, again IMO from what I've seen), I've read the thread in detail to figure out what happened, It spiraled & fingers were pointed, Opinions were strong, we should take this as a lesson. After doing this many years, there is one thing I've learned the hard way, your words can easily be misinterpreted, confused or get to someone personally, so thought is required when posting. I think If someone would of used the alert staff or mod feature sooner, we could of prevented this, even if no action was done, at least as a user you tried on your part, that is what/why we're here for as staff/mods. I think any user should & Is more than welcome to report a possible problem, I even Invite a PM directly to me if someone feels like they need to let someone know or have any issues. I always do my best to reply even If I'm not on-line, I try to get to problems asap, also most staff/mods will feel the same & do what they can to get help, last thing we want is RF to be someplace that people aren't comfortable being or posting here.

This situation is highly regrettable but was easily avoidable. Let's shoot for the "avoidable" mode the next time.

Scott is absolutely correct....hit the red triangle if you have concerns. It DOES NOT make someone in trouble. A couple of PM's typically solves most issues. However, if the mods don't know about the issue, how can they try to resolve it?

Think about it this way, RC staff gets complaints they just ban the person until farther review (Disclaimer on the analogy, Its not true that they do that), somehow I can't blame them because look at the thousands of posts daily, not even an army could read every single post, same goes here, we try but we can't see everything. So what do we do? We rely on our members to help us, push the button, I ashore you we will do our best to resolve possible issues & in most cases no harm is done.

well owning up to a mistake is cool of you tracy, and the best way to go for sure. we can all get kinda cranky here sometimes, and sometimes people take things too personally or seriously as well...
nothing in my life is worth that amount of seriousness, at lest not with the world falling down around us it isnt...
i keep telling myself..."it's just a skimmer, it's just a skimmer...let it go" lol:)

I appreciate the forthcoming to own up to some poor communication and things getting out of hand. A lot has happened here with Dang's departure. He left on a very upsetting note in my opinion.

First and foremost, I hope in the future that the staff and mods can be alerted to issues.

Second I hope that people will take a step back in how they post, many things can be taken out of context and name pointing is not the correct way to get things to stay smooth and cordial.

This site is first and foremost an information sharing and knowledge sharing site. It is NOT a classified ad site. It is NOT a frag trading site. It is not a livestock/equipment selling site. Those things just happen to be a side benefit from the main point of this site.

Many threads and posts were edited to remove very good content after this erupted. I personally caved in and allowed open editing rights to people's own posts for an unlimited period of time. This is the loophole in which the posts were removed of the valuable content. As such I had to re-instate a time limit on when you can go back and edit posts, and I had to take initiative to not allow a member (fully involved in the outcome of these issues) to visit Reef Frontiers in fear he may elect to try to edit out more posts. Hopefully just for a cooling off period. It was something I did not want to do but I had no choice at the time.

I agree with others that this was not one person that caused all of this. I hope others realize the roles they also played. I do hope that all can benefit from this however and in the future learn to treat each other with the kindness and respect we all deserve.

Thanks again for stepping up and trying to make things right.

alot of members can be lost in translation of the way words are typed on a keyboard and an apology is wonderful and a true sign of redemption but the end truth is, the damage is done,( and not just by one)but, can the biggest man return the reputation.

sorry, I got a little philosophical there ....wont happen again ...I promise

it takes some b... (well you knwo, i don't wanna get edit either :p) to step up and say sorry as not many people can always say it :) .
i think the lesson was learned and i hope we don't go through this anymore.

I think when a topic like this comes about. if people who know about the topic and have read on and made more post. it would of made more sence and a better thread. but when people who just want to defend someone and not know everythang about what the topic is about. it would of whent alot better "JMO"
